Learning Urdu.

I love learning different languages and I was so exciting to learn about Urdu
I could remember the sentences veey well butt it was a bit
difficult to speak out cos my husband didn't really speak Urdu at home.
So it's like I know what to say but don't know how to speak or pronounce  it.
And our baby almost know nothing about Urdu
all she knows just how to call people in family.

So I started making a short note of urdu sentences
and memorize them mostly on plane or on the bus.

Mostly language that Pakistanis people speak is sound a bit different from Urdu
that because most of them speak Punjabi which I really love that accent.

Are you Pakistani in THAILAND?

Sometime I used to wonder how many Pakistanis are there in Thailand? And where do they live?
Do they have any problem staying in Thailand? Especially about Foods!

And Even I'm Thai but I do really love the taste of Pakistani and Indian foods.
Earlier when we just moved from Malaysia back to Thailand.
It was really difficult for us to find the delicious Indian foods with reasonable price, Comparing
to Malaysia we can find Indian & Halal foods every where and inexpensive too.

I and my husband we used to drive over bangkok to find Pakistani or Indian restaurant
and the first restaurant that we'd tried is on Sukhumvit road.

Best Kashmir Restaurant - Asoke, Bangkok

A small restaurant near ASOKE junction. Theirs food is quit expensive compare to the taste of food which definitely not Pakistani or Indian's style. But still it's worth to try as they have english menu and waiters who can speak English and Urdu very well.  Their biryani is good but yet not the best.   We went there quit often in first year of staying in Thailand.

Spices (Indian Restaurant) - Pattaya

Spices is next to Royal garden plaza, Beach road, Pattaya.

The restaurant is on 2nd floor.
They serve vegetarian and non-vegetarian indian food.
We accidentally found this restaurant while we were trying to find parking
on beach road.
The taste of food is pretty good and impressing.
We love their Roti Naan & Chicken butter.
Only problem was they took too long time to serve foods.
And all dishes just came in the same time except snack.
So better order all you want..at once because for next menu
you may need to wait almost one hour.

Punjabi Dhaba - Pahurat, Bangkok

An Indian restaurant in Pahurat (Indian Town) Opposite to Indian emporium mall.
This one we go there very often like every time we wanted the taste of Pakistani foods.
We just head to this restaurant and order in parcel & take away.
The cost is acceptable and very good taste of food.

Biryani bombay mix cooking time in Thailand

Most of Thai people prefer to eat outside as their time in daily life are so tight after whole day working outside they won't wish to stand in the kitchen or wasting time on thinking of what to cook for today.

But some time someone who is very busy LIKE ME also want to eat something different which of cause I may can find it at the restaurant outside but why to pay so much for the food that's just too
easy to cook!

So here I am in my tiny kitchen for Chicken & Beef Birtyani
and I choose the SHAN MASALA biryani bombay mix as I think its taste is the best of all.

So first get the ingredients ready! As these are in the cooking guidance but I will not get all of them
just as much as I can find in local market.

Ingredients
- Tomato
-  Potato
-  Red Onion
-  Garlic
-  Original pure yogurt
-  Oil
-  Beef & Chicken pieces.
-  Salt
-  Rice (Basmati or Thai rice but shouldn't use Jasmine rice because It's too sticky)

Cooking method
1.  Heat oil in a wok over medium heat. then put first cut onions. Fry until golden brown then
put the tomato until there's some water out of tomato.
2.  Put chicken and beef fry to mixed with the onion and tomato until chicken and beef is half
cooked ( You may put potato at this step )
3.  Put Shan masala , yogurt, garlic mix them up in the cooking pan. Leave it on low heat for
20 minutes and check it every 5 minutes so the meat and ingredient shouldn't stick with
cooking pan put a bit salt.
4. Cook the rice in electric rice cooker put less water
( Get rice ready to mix with biryani curry)
5. Pour the curry and all cooked ingredient from cooking pan to rice cooker and leave it for
    15 minutes.
6. Cut some tomato , red , green chillies and cucumber and put on rice for better looks.
7.  Ready to serve.

You can find the masala at local indian shop like PAHURAT (Indian town) ,  Bang Rak , Si Lom road,
And Soi NANA at Sukhumvit road or can order online Shan Masala In Thailand
