  19. Hi everyone

I believe this procedure needs to be updated a bit, as I have faced a lot more difficulties than highlighted in this post and it has become a lot more complicated. I will list out from the following:

"2. Go to the Consular office to verify the affidavit."
Not only do you need the stamp from the Consular Office, you will also need a stamp from 1st Class Magistrate and The Ministry of Foreign Affairs - and your affidavit author (your family who's name is on the affidavit, the one who is vouching for your bachelorhood) will NEED TO BE PRESENT as well. Ministry of Foreign Affairs will not attest your affidavit without your family member being present (they flat out denied me), because they will require the family member's fingerprints for authorization.

"3. Please note that you need the stamp from Thai embassy in Pakistan also."
Please note that the Thai Embassy in Islamabad DOES NOT ACCEPT the Affidavit from 2019 onwards. They will only stamp on an Unmarried Certificate and require a lot of documents from your side and also your wife's side (her bank statements, her house registration in Thailand, a written letter in Thai explaining the purpose, and a letter from her employer). This step is where I am stuck at the moment because this was unexpectedly huge amount of document gathering to do. So this makes the step even harder, the Thai side requires this stamp to move on to steps 6,7,8 onwards.

Be wary everyone and good luck. I am still going through this process after 8 months of going back and forth to Pakistan and learning more information - and I haven't even reached steps for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Thailand. Expect a long road ahead.

    Good luck everyone
